In this post, Adrian – a native Hong Kong martial artist is sharing his experience with Training Mask. He is a personal trainer, male model and martial arts instructor of Boston University Wing Chun. Coming from a cross-country running background he made his way to fighter. Adrian’s point of view about Training Mask is quite unique. Let’s see what he has to say.
“After two years I definitely feel that the Training Mask is worth the investment.”
Adrian has been using the Training Mask long term for just a little bit over two years, regularly. His personal experience with the Training Mask matches the purpose of this piece of equipment perfectly – better cardio and stamina, better fight trainings and better control over breathing.
“When my fighting style uses a lot of cardio and movement, it really just ramps it up and allows me to fight at a higher pace and to move around better as an athlete.”
If you are even remotely into fighting you probably know that it’s one of the most intense sports. There is a lot of moving around, explosives kicks, tight core all the time. The fights are usually long and its overall a very demanding sport which requires top notch conditioning.
During a fight you need to study your opponent on the fly and be willing to adapt your strategy. You don’t want to be distracted by the fact that you have a hard time catching your breath. If you are in that position, it doesn’t matter how strong you are and it will not matter how good your fighting technique is.
This is the primarily reason why you see many professional fighter – MMA and boxing specifically – using the Training Mask on their workout. They don’t have it on because it looks cool. They do it to stay on top of their breathing while in the ring.
“It is good for both aerobic and anaerobic training.”
Adrian, is an all-around athlete – he used to compete as a cross-country runner, and now he is a busy personal trainer and martial arts instructor. Because of that background, he has experience with many different types of workouts ranging from long hours of slow running to shorter and much more intense physical exercises.
He finds the Training Mask to work just as well regardless of the type of sport you are in and no matter how experienced or inexperienced you are. The adjustable valve system makes this training device a versatile tool that anyone can use.
“It make workouts very efficient and you don’t have to worry about having a lot of time.”
If you are like most people, you probably don’t always have a whole bunch of time to work out. There might be days when you need to fit everything in just 30 minutes and for an experienced, well trained person that is hardly enough to get the blood flowing through all your muscles. If you are a seasoned runner and too little time for a run is not enough for you, the Training Mask will definitely help you get in a more intense and efficient work out.
And the same goes for pretty much any other physical activity. It makes everything become so much more demanding and it does that right from the start. You will be able to get your heart rate up from the very beginning of your workout and your lungs will start to work really hard right away as well.
With that being said, we are giving Adrian a thumbs up for his video and looking forward to see his review of Training Mask 3.0.
